Earl Walker

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Earl Walker

Dr. Walker is a licensed psychologist utilizing a performance based model and approach to enhance the functioning of organizations, groups, teams, and individuals.  Specializing in assessment and identification of strengths and needs, gender relations, conflict resolution, negotiation, mediation, and performance counseling services.  He holds a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology, from the Department of Developmental Studies and Counseling at Boston University and is pursuing an MBA specializing in Health Care Management from Widener University. 

Dr. Walker has over ten years of clinical experience in the behavioral health field, with specializations in treating children with pervasive developmental disorders (including Autism), children exhibiting antisocial and oppositional behaviors, and psychometric assessment and evaluation.  He holds certifications in multisystemic therapy (MST), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and is also a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP). 

Earl was also a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) – Certified Personal Trainer.  He has taught sport psychology, sociology of sport, exercise physiology, health education, fitness education, and psychological testing at Mount Ida College in Newton, MA and Boston University in Boston, MA. 

Dr. Walker served as an assistant wrestling coach at Boston University for six years, coaching several NCAA tournament qualifiers, and one eventual NCAA All-American.  As a competitor, he achieved Division I NCAA College Wrestling All-American status, was a former #1 Nationally ranked collegiate wrestler, National High School Wrestling Champion, and 2x Delaware State Wrestling Champion.  He was also honored as the male collegiate athlete of the year at Boston University in 1993 and has been inducted into three athletic halls of fame (Delaware Wrestling, South Jersey Wrestling and Boston University Athletic). 

Utilizing his athletic experience and academic training, Dr. Walker developed the Self Realization Model and Theory, which focuses on improving the most essential components of optimal performance and helping individuals and organizations reach their potential.

 


 

LaDale Coston, RD, LDN

Registered Dietitian

Dr. Earl Walker

LaDale Coston is a Registered Dietitian with over six years of experience in the field of Dietetics.  She has had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults in acute care, rehabilitation, psychiatric, outpatient and school wellness based settings. She also serves as a preceptor to dietetic interns, nutrition students and aspiring dietary managers.

LaDale holds a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition/ Dietetics from the Family and Consumer Science Department at Delaware State University. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Virginia State University and is co-author of “Feeding Your Child in the 21st Century” published by Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Specialty Care of Richmond, VA. She has been an active member of the American Dietetic Association for over ten years and currently holds a board position with the Delaware Dietetic Association.

Her focus is aimed at decreasing the risk of chronic disease and improving overall well being by maintaining a healthy weight. She emphasizes on a total lifestyle change to develop healthy eating habits and strays away from “dieting” as a quick way to lose weight.
